The sun was shining as we welcomed prospective students to our second open event on the year on Saturday 16th November. The morning started promptly at 10 o’clock with plenty of students and their parent/carers having the opportunity to view the incredible facilities the college has to offer.
During the event there were three presentation talks in the library with the college Principal, Paul Riley and who gave an overview of the extensive curriculum and his vision for students who choose to apply and enrol at the college from next September and beyond.
We also welcomed previous Haywards Heath College student, Lou Nash from the Mid Sussex More Radio team. Lou spoke to numerous members of staff including Shelagh Legrave, CEO of Chichester College Group, Andy Green, Principal of Chichester College and Paul Riley, Principal of Haywards Heath College. She was also able to get a few snippets from students and their parent/carers who gave us some fantastic feedback on the college. Keep an eye out for these clips across the website and our social media!
Teachers from across the Chichester College Group were kept very busy at the event, speaking to students and parents about the details of the 40+ courses running from 2020. To read more about the courses follow this link. Also in attendance were staff promoting other services the college will provide for students including the Student Union, Student Services, Financial Assistance and Additional Learning Support.
Our recruitment team were also much in demand as potential staff registered their interest in working at the college.
Both open events have been hailed a success with 580 prospective students registering their interest in studying at the college. We look forward to receiving more applications before our first choice course deadline of 20th December!
