NCFE L2 Certificate in Creative Media (Film and TV)

COURSE OVERVIEW

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Creative Media (Film and TV) qualification is designed to provide students with an introduction to the creative media industry. The course allows learners to explore video production and broadcasting.

Throughout the course, students will develop practical skills in the use of media equipment, software and hardware, and gain experience in planning, producing and editing creative media projects. They will also develop their critical thinking skills, enabling them to analyse and evaluate media content.

The course covers a range of topics including:

· Techniques for planning and producing creative media projects

· The use of software and hardware for media production

· Legal and ethical considerations in media production and consumption

· The impact of media on audiences and society

· By the end of the course, learners will have developed a portfolio of work that showcases their creative skills and technical abilities. They will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to progress to further study in creative media or employment opportunities within the industry.

HOW THE APPLICATION PROCESS WORKS

Step 1

Set Up Your Account

You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.

Step 2

Apply

Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.

Step 3

Application Review Meeting

Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 4

Accept Your Place

Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Step 5

What next?

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
