Sustainability Certificate L3 OCR
COURSE OVERVIEW
This forward-thinking qualification is widely endorsed by leading organisations across various industries, including the WWF, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Siemens, and Jaguar Land Rover. Its syllabus has also benefited from academic input from several universities, such as the University of York, the University of Surrey, the University of Reading, and the University of Wales.
The course is structured around two core units. The first, Fundamentals of Sustainability, is assessed through an external examination and accounts for 50% of the final grade. The second unit, Sustainability in Practice, is assessed through non-examined coursework and makes up the remaining 50%.
By completing this qualification, students will gain the essential knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to pursue careers in sustainability-related fields. It also provides a pathway into environmental apprenticeships, supporting progression into both further study and employment.

Minimum Entry Requirements are 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
This qualification is for students who want to develop skills in preparation for employment in any sector.
The Exam (50%) will be sat in January or June. The NEA (Non-Examined Assessment) follows a set assignment given by the exam board, Cambridge OCR (50%)
