Haywards Heath College celebrates fourth Business, Media and Enterprise Day
Students at Haywards Heath College have been inspired and challenged by local business leaders.
The college recently celebrated its fourth annual Business, Media and Enterprise Day with guest speakers from local companies, who set a marketing challenge for students.
The Hub Theatre welcomed more than 60 students across four different courses on Friday 14 June, with guest speakers from Bimble Solar and Only with Love Brewery giving a talk to students about the joys – and the challenges – of running a business.
Guest speaker Roger Warner from Only with Love Brewery brought a selection of his non-alcoholic ‘Hop Soda’ for the students to taste and market during a quickfire marketing challenge.
Students Billy Gibbins, Josh Gray and Phil Williamson won a £50 Amazon voucher for their marketing skills, while producing a TikTok video for the brand.
Billy Barrington, business and digital media lecturer at the college, said: “It was an exceptional day, with three guest speakers who all spoke inspirationally about the challenges and joys of running a business and some creative, brilliant student marketing competition entries.”
