COURSE OVERVIEW
FURTHER INFORMATION
To enrol on the Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, you’;ll need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English. A strong interest in performance is essential, and while prior experience in acting, dance, or musical theatre is helpful, it’;s not required. You may be invited to attend a workshop or audition to demonstrate your enthusiasm and potential.
Upon completing the Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, you’;ll be well-prepared to take the next step in your creative journey. Many students progress to university or specialist training at drama schools, dance academies, or conservatoires. The course also provides a strong foundation for entering the industry directly, whether in theatre, film, television, or live performance. You may also choose to pursue related careers in teaching, production, or arts management, supported by the transferable skills developed throughout the programme.
Throughout the course, you’;ll be assessed through performances, rehearsal work, and creative tasks. You’;ll also complete reflective writing and professional development activities. The final major project lets you bring everything together in a showcase of your skills and progress.
Please note that there is a £60 studio fee attached to this course. This fee helps cover the cost of productions, including performance rights, costumes, and technical support, ensuring students have access to high-quality resources and professional-standard experiences throughout their training.
