Haywards Heath College students gain first-hand insight into parliament

Politics students at Haywards Heath College were given an insight into Government last week.
Mims Davies, MP for Mid Sussex and Minister for Employment, spent time with the students at the college on Friday (29 April).
She discussed her own political career and her journey to becoming a Member of Parliament, as well as answering questions from the students who were keen to find out what being an MP really involves!
Mims said: “It is always a great pleasure to attend Haywards Heath College, which is truly thriving once again, to meet their students and speak about my life and work as a politician and hear their thoughts.”
“As always, their questions were searching and well thought out giving an insight into their views is greatly valued for my work here and in Westminster.”
Paul Riley, Principal at Haywards Heath College, added: “Once again, we were delighted to welcome Mims to the college.
“She has been a regular visitor, supporting the students and providing our students a great insight into frontline politics – something they will benefit from greatly in their studies.
“They will be able to draw from her experiences and the opportunity to find out what MPs do and how their work impacts on all of us.”
