Creative Excellence on Display at Haywards Heath College Visual Arts Event
Students from Haywards Heath College impressed visitors as the college hosted its annual Visual Arts Showcase, featuring a wide array of student work.
The showcase, which took place last month, featured work from the college’s fine art, textiles, photography and graphics students.
It included a selection of artwork from across the last academic year, as students impressed visitors with the range of work on display.
Louise Black, a textiles student who had their work on display at the event, said:
“My project revolved around faces, I wanted to look at the genetics and history behind my family, and look at similarities and differences. I drew inspiration from my photo walls at home featuring my family, and I just thought what a cool thing to be able to see the generational lookalikes and differences.
“I picked out some of my favourite photos and got inspired…it’s definitely one of the favourite things I’ve done.
“Tonight’s event has been so much fun, it’s really cool, it’s so impressive seeing everyone’s artwork, I’ve loved every second of it.”
Paul Riley, Principal of Haywards Heath College, added:
“The Visual Arts Showcase is always a highlight of our academic year, it’s a celebration of creativity, dedication, and the incredible talent of our students.
“Seeing the diversity and depth of work on display, from fine art to photography, is a testament to the passion and hard work of both students and staff. We’re proud to support such inspiring young artists.”
