Celebration and Success at Haywards Heath College on Results Day 2025

14 August 2025

The college was filled with excitement as Hayward Heath College students collected their A-Level and T-Level results today (Thursday, 14 August).

Upon arrival, many students were buzzing with anticipation as they awaited the results of their hard work and perseverance over the last two years.

One of these nervous students was Eleanor Ashley, who received an A* across the board in A-level English literature, history and politics, as well as in her EPQ (Extended Project Qualification). She said:

“It feels really good, I knew that my predicted grades were high, and it’s nice to have achieved them as there is always the odd exam that you can think over forever and ever, so it’s really nice to have that confirmation today.

“One of my highlights of my time at the college was when we did a trip to the House of Commons for Politics with our local MP Alison Bennett – that was amazing – we got to walk round the Houses of Parliament, go into some of the different chambers, which was really good.

“Both my teachers for my subjects were great, I only had two as history and politics were taught by the same lecturer. They were both so lovely and good, they delivered really fun lessons whilst learning the content that you needed.”

She is now off to the University of Exeter to study Politics and International Relations.

Another excited student receiving their results was Gus Wilder. They received an A* in A-level economics, and an A in both A-level history and business, they said:

“I didn’t think I’d get an A* in Economics, which is amazing! My favourite part of college has been the social life; my friends have been amazing and supportive. We all studied Economics together and focused on getting good grades and supporting each other to do the best we could.

“I’m looking forward to learning more about Economics at University. My advice to new students would be to work as hard as you can from the start. Don’t mess around, as A-levels are a step-up from GCSE.”

Gus is now off to the University of Manchester to study an Economics, Finance & International Business Degree.

It was yet another year of fantastic results, as the college received a brilliant 100% pass rate for T Levels and a 97% pass rate for A-levels.

Furthermore, all students at the college who completed the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) received an A*-B.
