From Anticipation to Celebration: Haywards Heath College Students Receive Their Results 

An air of anticipation swept through Haywards Heath College as students gathered to collect their A Level and T Level results. 

It was an early start as eager students began arriving from 8.30am to collect their results, all keen to learn the outcomes of the last two years of hard work. 

A colourful balloon arch greeted students as they queued up to receive their results, chatting with friends, family and loved ones as they eagerly waited in line. 

Community spirit was evident everywhere, as students, their loved ones and college lecturers came together to celebrate the hard work, determination and achievements of every student collecting their results. 

Emma Regan, 20, was one of those students receiving her results. She achieved an impressive AAB in Chemistry, Maths and Geography. 

When asked about her time at Haywards Heath College, she said: 

“I feel like there’s loads that I’ve got up to. I guess I’ve been involved in a lot of the extracurriculars and just I can’t even think of one thing that stands out. I feel like I’ve spent more time at college than I have at home in the last two years, and I’ve really, really enjoyed it. 

“I’ve made some really good friends, ended up going on holiday with someone I met here during our summer. And I think it’s been a really, really good experience for me in general.” 

She also wholeheartedly endorsed the college, adding: 

“I definitely would recommend Haywards Heath College. I’ve had a great time here and I think the environment’s really welcoming and warm, and I found it really easy to make friends, especially as someone who wasn’t particularly confident about that in the beginning. And I think having people that you get on with in your courses and at college can make the whole experience a lot more pleasant. So yeah, I would recommend it.” 

Emma is set to begin the next chapter of her academic journey in September, when she will head to the University of Bristol to study Medicine. 

Another student celebrating success was Lexi Coughlan, who achieved an A in A Level Sociology and DD in BTEC Psychology and BTEC Social Care. 

When asked about her time at Haywards Heath College, she said: 

“I’ve actually really enjoyed college. I think it’s like my favourite part of my education because I love how we receive college because I feel I have a lot more freedom and like my friends, it’s just a lot. There’s a lot that you’re in control of what you want to do, and you have a lot more choice.” 

When asked what advice she would give someone starting in September, she said: 

“I’d say just focus on yourself and keep disciplined and just stay organised and just have fun because it’s your last time before actually going on to university, it’s just your last time being in education.” 

Looking ahead to the future, Lexi is considering an apprenticeship in Animal Management as she explores her options for the next stage of her education and career.
