Become an apprentice

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study​

• They are available in levels 2 through to 7 but will depend on your job role​ and age.
• Typically, you will work with your employer for 4 days a week and attend college for 1 day a week. Some apprenticeships however are workshop based on a monthly basis, remote delivered or block release, but whichever category your apprenticeship falls under you will be paid for your full contracted hours (which includes your training).​
• Your training plan will include dedicated off the job training, which may comprise of one day a week in college.​
• Your apprenticeship will be consolidated at the end of the programme by an independent assessment.

Being an apprentice is the best of both worlds.  You are earning a wage and learning skills and knowledge in your chosen field all while experiencing the world of work.  You will be an employee just like any other with the same rights and opportunities and you will have access to a tailored training programme delivered by an outstanding provider to help kickstart your career.

• Outstanding teaching taught by qualified, industry competent teachers.
• An individual tailored study programme based on any prior recognised learning you may already have.
• Dedicated learning on Off the Job activities to learn new knowledge and practice your skills in college and in your workplace.
• Full support throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme from your dedicated college teacher/assessor and apprentice coach alongside your employer.
• Full access to all college facilities including being part of the student union. Having access to additional learning support, counselling, trips, extracurricular activities, clubs and much more.
