Learn Your Way: Flexible and Inclusive Courses for Adults at Haywards Heath College

From September, Haywards Heath College is offering a flexible and inclusive adult learning programme designed to support parents and carers alongside their existing commitments.

The college provides a wide range of opportunities tailored to fit around family life. Courses are available during the daytime, in the evenings and online, with many offered on a part-time basis so that study can be balanced with work and caring responsibilities.

The offer includes everything from short, enrichment-style courses to more formal qualifications, including Access to Higher Education programmes for those considering university.

Subjects range widely and include creative arts, photography, languages and writing, with free online learning available, ensuring there is something to suit different interests and goals.

Adult learners will benefit from high quality teaching and a supportive environment. Chichester College Group was recognised by Ofsted in 2025 as Outstanding for adult learning and inspectors highlighted the strong impact that courses have on learners’ confidence, wellbeing and future opportunities.

Cris Mummery, Head of Learning at Haywards Heath College, said: “The college is committed to ensuring that cost is not a barrier to participation. Some courses are free or subsidised, and many learners may be eligible for financial support depending on their circumstances.
