Our courses can lead to some of the most important and rewarding careers in the world – care, nursing, social work, teaching, psychology and youth and community related careers. We offer Health and Social Care (Cambridge Advanced National), A Level Psychology, A Level Sociology and a T Level in Education and Early Years, all at Level 3.
Supporting your studies
Health and social care at Haywards Heath College combines classroom teaching with coursework, exams and work-related learning, supported by 1:1 tutor time. It’s ideal preparation for a nursing, social work, teaching or healthcare degree.
Varied teaching
In addition to teacher-led discussions in class, students will also engage in practical activities, such as small research investigations, debates, group presentations, internet researches.
Outside learning
Some courses give students the opportunity to visit university conferences and possibly trips to other relevant locations. Visiting speakers also come to tell us about their working role in the sector.
Modern campus
You’ll learn in modern classrooms with access to study zones and 1:1 support, and build the written and analytical skills that Level 3 Health & Social Care and university healthcare courses demand.

Where health and social care can take you
Our students progress into a wide range of health and social care careers and to university. A Health and Social Care degree, nursing, midwifery, social work, paramedic science, teaching and youth work are all common routes, supported by the Level 3 qualification and combined with other A Levels to strengthen degree applications.
